Last week, as I registered to vote, I chose to identify as a Democrat. I agree with them a hell of a lot more than the Republicans, but most of my decision to affiliate with them instead of "No Party" (like my lime avatar would indicate) as Iowa is a closed primary state, and I want to vote in primaries and caucuses.

It's impossible to register with a party unless you're running for office in Tennessee

There's no party registration here, so... technically yes?

My state doesn't require registering with a party, but I am on the Green Party's mailing list still.

My country doesn't have a party registration in the sense of the American system, but my avatar does correspond to an actual party membership I hold.

No. Voting in a primary as an indie is a wasted vote.

Technically no, because Minnesota doesn't have party registration.

Yes, and I  appreciate when poster's do that to reflect the primary electorate they are a part of.

I guess the closest to a Maroon avatar would be Green or PSL? In which case no, I'm still a registered Democrat. I've thought about donating to and maybe joining local Progressive/Leftist organizations while maintaining my Democratic registration to vote in Primaries.

Yes, my state registers voters by party, and thus this is the only way I can vote in this party’s primary elections (although I will only vote for a candidate in the primary if said candidate is endorsed by national progressive organizations like Brand New Congress, DSA, Justice Democrats, Our Revolution, etc., which so far has not been the case for the candidates who have declared for my congressional district’s primary this year).

Too young to vote, but the answer would be yes if I were 18

Georgia doesn't have registration by party.  In primaries, you just request the ballot of your choice at the time you vote.  I've usually (though not always) requested Republican primary ballots because the R primary is the de facto general election for most local races in my area.

I'm a registered Democrat but I have too much self respect to be a red avatar.
