There is a significant disparity between the VA results CNN and MSNBC is reporting and Virginia's official election site. Take a look. What is going on?

I kind of think McCaskill will win.

KC and STL County were not in at all just 30-45 minutes ago

STL City was in a lot, though.

There are 20 precincts left to count, with Allen holding on to a 2,000 vote lead -this is according to the official Virginia elections website.

VA Elections site:
Allen 1,139,550
Webb 1,137,793
22 precincts left

CNN site:
Webb 1,141,052
Allen 1,138,676
99% reporting

I would venture to guess that the higher vote quantity is correct on both sides... which puts Webb up by a narrow 1,500 votes. Not quite 2004 Washington gubernatorial or 2000 Florida presidential levels, but close.

Comparing Montana to the 2000 Montana race is less favorable for Burns. I don't see where the votes are that could save him.

I know I should be happy that we are going to pick up probably 5 seats, but I feel very badly about Harold Ford. The mud he endured from the republcians was terrible and despicable and it seems he is going to lose. He probably deserved to win more than any other candidate this cycle.

drudge has changed away from showing 100% reporting and a Webb win, and is now showing the VA Official website numbers

McCaskill continues to close the gap in Missouri. I think she will pull through.

Probably.  I think I read that an auto-recount occurs when the result is within 1%.

Currently, 12,700 or less triggers a re-count.  Yes, unless Allen declines.

Even though only 30% of the state's results are in, Burns is toast. He's in worse shape than even Talent
