This bill has a clear purpose in supporting fair and strong wage standards for Atlasian employees in a number of ways. A 60% threshold would increase job security by disincentivising  fire and rehire tactics or the undercutting of wage standards, but keeping this at net profits rather than another metric still encourages business growth and allows for capital investment into that company, with no conflict between paying workers a fair wage. All companies will also benefit from the steady flow of money into the economy.

Government is notoriously inefficient. Why does the honorable PPT believe that more and more responsibilities should be given to the government from private enterprise? I believe in a balance, in a mixed economy, not one that is heavily dominated by the state.

Doesn't this produce a feedback loop of sorts?

I mean labor expenses are calculated prior to the calculation of "net profit". So wouldn't that mean that say they appropriate 60% of "net profit" to labor costs, this then would produce a new "net profit" that then would necessitate the same 60% requirement and so on unto infinity.

If you take 60% of profit after expenses and add it to the labor expenses that changes nothing. You do what you want with the other 40%.

I know full well what the damn intent is, what my concern is whether the composition is up to snuff with regards to the intent.
