DeSantis will be termed out, fi he did not already become President/VP/Cabinet member by that point.

Wild guess: GOP candidate + 0.4%.

FL Dems are too inept to win an election even under reasonably favorable circumstances.

If Democrats nominate a Weak Unelectable Joker: R +0.4
If Democrats nominate a Strong AstroNUT: R +0.1

Hottish take: DeSantis still improves from his 2018 margin and wins by like 1.2% or something

Gut feeling says it would be another one-percent heartbreaker.

Lawton Chiles will remain the last Democrat to have won a Florida gubernatorial election for another few cycles, I guess. Thanks to the state's partisan trend and the utter incompetence of Florida Democrats.

Yep. GA & TX Govs seem practically guaranteed to flip sooner than FL

Hell at this point maybe even UT & SC are likelier to see D Gov pickups sooner than FL

R won every single FL-GOV election since 1998, and FL is rapidly moving right. Unless R nominates a Roy Moore while D nominates a Manchin, D has no chance in FL.

I always assumed that once Republicans find a way to appeal to the broader Hispanic Population in Florida (not just Cubans) Florida would become a RED STATE!
