Bolsonaro: has always supported social conservative values. He usually didn't care for economics, but recently, Bolsonaro has also supported free market economics in order to increase the number of supporters

He was affiliated with the Patriota (Patriot) Party between 2019 and 2022, when he was expelled from the previous party, the former Democrats (DEM), which merged with the Social Liberal Party (PSL) to create União Brasil party in 2021. Patriot party was called National Ecological Party (PEN) from its foundation from 2011 to 2018, and changed its name because it was originally would affiliate the then presidential candidate Bolsonaro, although in the last minute he chose the Social Liberal Party (PSL). The PEN was an environmentalist party with strong evangelical Christian influence and conservatism, before changing its name to Patriota and becoming a far-right party.

Today Arthur do Val, also known by the nickname MamãeFalei (Mommy, I told you!) is affiliated with the Podemos (We Can) party, which is the party of the current presidential candidate Sérgio Moro, the former judge and former Minister of Justice of the Bolsonaro government between 2019 and 2020, and who headed Car Wash Operation, which allegedly would "fight against corruption" in Brazilian politics from 2014 and 2018.

Today, Arthur do Val Mamãe Falei resigned from his term of state representative of São Paulo. Last week, a commission of the State Assembly of São Paulo voted in unamity for his impeachment, and if he didn't resign, probably the large majority of the Assembly would have voted for this impeachment.

Not only corruption can be a cause of impeachment. Misconduct (quebra de decoro) is also a motive for impeachment. And the interesting humanitarian mission in Ukraine was of course a strong "quebra de decoro".

He resigned to try to escape from losing his mandate through a legislative process (“cassação de mandato”). Because you can still retain some political rights if you resign, but not if you’re expelled.

His words in the leaked video were too strong for him to be kept in state congress, he was enjoying the idea of exploiting the war for his sexual desires.
