While I do think the media is the enemy of the people, its sad to see a news entity fail because of partisan political pressure to censor.

RT went off the deep end when they started chasing the alt-right cash cow, but they were doing valuable work back when they had reporters like Abby Martin and Thom Hartmann. The network gave voice to a lot of people not allowed on the other networks and covered things that would either get no coverage or misleading elsewhere, particularly relating to US foreign policy and corporate crime. The talking heads were always propaganda machines (not that corporate media isn't propaganda), but most of the reporters who had their own programs clearly had journalistic freedom. Putin wasn't in Larry King's earpiece telling a 50-year broadscasting veteran how to do his job.

Ya know what's funny is I thought about including The Hill on that list, but then decided, nah, it's not quite egregious enough.  Surprise surprise, I come along an hour later and read that they've been banned from YouTube alongside RT for misinformation.

It's only for a week, and apparently was just for airing raw footage of Trump's speech where he claimed election fraud, which thus resulted in the suspension of "election misinformation." Can't say I agree with this unless they were also actively promoting Trump's claims.
