Montreal Grand Prix today should be a classic.

Carlos Sainz starting to justify his salary with the fastest car on track.

I think Carlos will be World Champion in 2024. Or maybe LeClerc.

They have the pace, but not the experience of winning.

In a recent interview, Nelson Piquet used the slur "neguinho" to Lewis Hamilton when talking about a crash between Hamilton and Verstappen that happened last year. "Neguinho" is similar to "n". In not every context, this word is a racist slur. Sometimes, people in Brazil uses this word for generic people. But in the context of Piquet's interview, the slur was really offensive.

Nelson Piquet was 3 times Formula 1 world champion. He was an amazing driver. But unfortunately he is not as good as a person as he was as a driver.

Yes. Not good.

I don't support Lewis Hamilton as a driver, but he is a champion person and an amazing ambassador for the sport.

I know it's Austria, but I have never seen so many Dutch sports fans in my life.

When a driver becomes a big winner, he gains a lot of fans in his country.

When Ayrton Senna was running, the first page of the sports session of the newspapers in Brazil on Monday after the race used to be about Formula 1 and not soccer.

That was actually a great race.

Charles had the rear diff open up too much when he took his foot off the gas and then spun on the paint by the looks of it.

Russell performed a miracle overtake on Perez worthy of his cheeky smile in the post race interviews. Perez was just looking for the dark sunglasses. Perez deserved what he got.

And Hamilton back to his old tricks with a lower quality car.

Then Verstappen of course who is cleaning up on many of these races where Charles (or Ferrari) are throwing it away.

Spa Qualifying tonight to start the 2nd half of the season.

LeClerc and Verstappen have Rear of Grid penalties for engine upgrades.

Hence, Carlos Sainz will not have a better chance to grab win number two.

Ricciardo has been sacked at McLaren and his career hangs in the balance in 2023.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-08-25/daniel-ricciardo-leaving-mclaren-what-does-it-mean/101369728

His ascent through F1 was rapid and his exit may be just as quick.

Max Verstappen starts on pole at the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort 2 * 100th's of a second in front of Charles LeClerc.

If LeClerc had put all his best sectors in qualifying, his lap time would have been 15 * 100th's of a second faster than Max.

Insane how close these drivers are now.

With Lewis Hamilton allegedly having the fastest car, this race could be mental.

Lewis was held up in qualifying after Perez' accident.

It's all over now bar the shouting.

I do enjoy the surfaces within the pack, in particular watching Lewis Hamilton mid pack. He is still a wiley 'ol fox behind the wheel and very entertaining to watch.

The guy is driving our of his skin in a substandard car, and I really like how he has turned it around mentally from where he was 4 months ago.

Champions always rise.

Hopefully Mercedes can get their ACT back together for 2023 because 2022 was boring and too one-sided.
