Would mail-ins benefit Schulz? I assume since more educated people would vote for her and educated people are more likely to use mail in?

Not enough Republican MIB out there to change the result. As of yesterday only about 38,000.

It's a local election, but has anyone else been following the Moco County Exec race?

538's preview of tomorrow's Arizona and Missouri primaries: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-far-right-will-republican-primary-voters-go-in-arizona-and-missouri/.  A second preview featuring the remaining states will be published tomorrow.

I'll go out on a limb and predict that the overall winner of the senatorial elections will be...

Spoiler alert! Click Show to show the content.

I moreover proceed on the assumption that he would be Trump's running mate in 2024, if he were eligible for that office.

Predictions:

AZ R Gov: Lake
AZ D Gov: Hobbs
AZ R Sen: Masters

KS Abortion Amendment: No

MI R Gov: Dixon
MI-11 D: Stevens

MO R Sen: Schmitt
MO D Sen: Valentine

WA Sen: Murray and Smiley

And honestly I’m pretty certain about all of these except the KS abortion amendment and to a lesser extent the AZ and MO R primaries.

NYT Page: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/08/02/us/elections/results-arizona-michigan-missouri-kansas-washington.html?action=click&pgtype=Article&state=default&module=styln-elections-2022&region=TOP_BANNER&context=election_recirc

I've also grown fond of the WA SOS Page over time: https://results.vote.wa.gov/results/20220802/

A few notes:

- Ohio state leg. is outside the scope of my projections, but this would be the place to discuss those races.
- I traditionally haven't done ballot measures, BUT I will make an exception now - I will cover the Kansas Abortion Amendment
- Arizona results will be held until 11 ET under state law, even though polls will be closed by 10. Washington is all-mail so results may take days.
- During the KS, MO, and MI primaries, calls may be delayed due to multiple things competing for my attention tonight. This won't affect AZ/WA.
- ATLAS USER DR. RI is the Republican running for WA House 44 position 2. Not in the scope of my projections as only 2 candidates are running, but we can all watch it here: https://results.vote.wa.gov/results/20220802/legislative-district-44-state-representative-pos-2.html

First notable poll closings are at 8 ET.

The WA race will be interesting to see the margin, and how much Murray runs ahead of Smiley.

I noticed in Missouri’s 4th Jack Truman is running, is he relayed to Harry Truman at all?

If it’s the same guy (same picture and birth place as his Ballotpedia page and local news articles) I found his IMDb page which claims he is Harry Truman’s great-nephew:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0874289/trivia

Apparently he has produced some documentaries about strippers.

First results in for the night I see, from Lincoln County, MO. Schmitt leads Greitens.

But knowing even 134 people actually voted for Greitens disgusts me. That man I think is worse than Trump.
