Trump was the first U.S. president to ever authorize lethal security assistance to Ukraine; Obama vetoed $350M in weapons and security training for the Ukrainian military in 2014.

"Delusional. Russia's desire for the territory wouldn't be any different. The thing that would be different is that President Trump wouldn't have cared if Putin took the whole country."

It would be different because Trump did not consider eventual Ukrainian membership in NATO as the doctrinaire imperative Bush and Obama saw it as.

Publically promising to bring Ukraine into NATO (with no timetable or actionable plan to do so, fwiw) provides Russia a clear incentive to stoke unrest and conflict without making life any better for the people of Ukraine.

As has been noted on here, it has to be kept in mind that Putin occupied Crimea while Obama was still in office, and that the Russian separatist movements in Ukraine became active and of international concern during Obama's presidency. Putin could have moved against Ukraine at any point during Trump's presidency, and if you believe that Trump was a Russian puppet, he would have had even more reason to do so.

But he didn't. And now, it's not even entirely clear that an invasion of Ukraine will actually happen. Putin has worked to destabilize Ukraine and the West throughout the past two decades, regardless of who is President. He invaded Georgia under Bush, the Crimea under Obama, waged a misinformation and spying campaign to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election in Trump's favor, and is now conducting provocative movements at the Ukrainian border with Biden in the White House.

We voted home out because Russia launched a cyber attack against the DNC, so it doesn't matter if Trump is in office

These threads are Hilarious should we commit Troops and Congress has to Declare war we only had War authority in Iraq and Afghanistan and if Trump was in office would Putoninvade and Trump let Putin launch an election cyber attack against Hillary

You will see probably an air War after the Election if Putin further invades but it's unlikely that Putin does

Absolutely no way. Dems try to pretend, that it's just a coincidence, that Putin took Crimea under Obama/Biden, Donbass under Biden/Kamala, but literally nothing happened under "TRUMP".
