Serious answer? (I mean Big Abraham and WM have already given the self-bashing ones, and others will soon too, I'm sure.) I always thought I was kinda unique for being a big politics buff and wished there were others who I could have deep discussions regarding politics about (I do have political conversations with people, but that's me talking and them getting bored...), and a place where people obssessed over political facts and details others find, well, nerdy/geeky. Like it's kind of encapsulated in how I found this forum: I did a search for Dole-Gore counties out of curiousity in late May last year, this forum was the first result, and I read through that and other threads and marveled at the intelligence of the people here (note: I hadn't read posts from certain posters yet), and after lurking for about a week, decided I wanted to participate in the legitimate political discourse too.
