I think DeSantis is positioning himself to run from Trump's right based on what I'm seeing as of late. I think Trump is favored, but only slightly and DeSantis is the one candidate that can beat him, and would have better odds against Biden/Harris than Trump would.
Ron DeSantis I think could win every state except California, Hawaii, Washington, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Massachusetts, Delaware, and Vermont if he was the Republican nominee. He might even get a 47 state sweep in 2028 in his reelection bid. I would say that Glenn Youngkin would be the best running mate for Ron DeSantis.

Trump is significantly healthier than DeSantis. Easy Trump victory in every state, even in Florida (remember what happened to that fool Rubio).

It would be a tight primary but I think Trump would win by around 10-15 points.

Have you listened to Trump speak lately? He's like a clip show with keywords.

I have no idea if there is any level of degeneration that would leave the GOP to abandon him, but if there is one short of literal feces-flinging (as opposed to the figurative sort, which he has always engaged in to the cheers of your reprehensible cult of party), he will likely reach it during a contested primary.

DeSantis would lose badly and become a pariah in the party for during to challenge the party’s  infallible leader.
