So it actually looks as if the Morrison government's strategy of using anti-environment politics as a wedge issue has backfired catastrophically, perhaps even costing them government. Significant losses of usually safe seats to people who are basically LibDems and a total failure to make against-the-grain gains against Labor using the issue elsewhere. Even the inflated margins in e.g. Central Queensland have also been brought a lot lower by above-average swings to Labor and some of those seats might be plausibly competitive in a good election for Labor again.

Frydenberg is likely to lose too and then Dutton is the likely Leader of the Opposition.

Frydenberg's speech sounds like a concession, though he can't officially say it.

He'll be able to give a lot of speeches now that he's on the unemployment line.

There is a +7.4% swing against Alan Tudge in Aston (eastern Melbourne), with 45% counted. He's ahead of Labor by 5%.

cracking up at Keneally struggling to win Fowler against an independent. What a cursed career she has had.

Looks like Gilmore may be the only Lab>Lib switch owing to a popular local Lib MP standing. They did have bad swings in many areas but it largely didn't show up in seat numbers (e.g. the Tasmania swing electorates, and safe ALP northern Melbourne suburbs)

For that matter, here are all the seats showing a swing right now to the Liberals against Labor and with them as the leading two parties:
Bass
Blaxland
Braddon
Bruce
Calwell
Chifley
Flinders
Fraser
Gellibrand
Gilmore
Gorton
Hawke
Herbert
Holt
Isaacs
Lalor
La Trobe
Lindsay
Lingiari
Lyons
McEwen
Paterson
Scullin
Spence
Wannon

With in doubt seats tendencies, the current tally is the following:

76 Labor
60 Coalition
  3 Green
  1 Katter
11 Independents

Bennelong, Deakin, Gilmore, Lyons and Menzies are literally 50-50 and could fall for either the ALP or LNP.

Morrison conceded defeat and will resign from the Liberal leadership.

There is a pretty significant downside to the success of the teals.  I really don't want Peter Dutton to be the opposition leader.

Governments rise and fall, policy agendas come and go, "Bob Katter holds Kennedy," remains.

I definitely don't know if the ALP will win or lose this election, but I can't imagine putting any credence in the work of a company called 'Resolve Strategic', no matter what they exactly they did.
So it looks like they might actually have been the best pollster? Welp. Look, it sounded like a scam, okay?
