Its a very bad year to be a Republican. But Douglas is doing well, even with these lower numbers (what can you expect? Vermont, bad year for GOP...I'm surprised he's winning)

Well considering the trouble chafee's having, I'm still a bit surprised that the democrat wave hasn't taken down another Republican in a uberdemocratic state of late (last 15 years or so).
