She certainly has a better shot than most other Republican candidates this year.  Vermont is a contrarian state and Rainville is clearly a solid candidate; I don't know a lot about Peter Welch but I assume he will win in a close race.

I do!  Although I think that my theory will be quashed by the latest poll showing Welch leading 51%-41%.
