To repeal the Federal Assault Weapon and Automatic Weapon Ban Act in its entirety.

Be it enacted by the Senate of the Republic of Atlasia assembled

Section 1. Title

1. This act may be cited as the Federal Assault Weapon and Automatic Weapon Ban Full Repeal Act.

Section 2. Definitions

2. All sections of the Federal Assault Weapon and Automatic Weapon Ban Act are hereby repealed in their entirety, effective immediately.

3. The categories of weapons set out in the repealed legislation shall subsequently be regulated under the National Firearms Act.

I will not be objecting to the final vote motion. I have done everything I can to stop this bill. However, it has become clear that the votes are there to pass it into law no matter what, and continuing to delay the bill will not have a successful outcome. I am proud of the work I have done to protect Atlasians from gun violence, and I of course wish that the assault weapons ban would remain law of the land. However, it will now be up to new players to keep up the work. I do hope you remember this-they said we could never pass an assault weapons ban, but we did it once, and so gun safety measures can again pass through the Atlasian Congress if we are patient and work for it.

Aye; this amendment has already passed. Wouldn't another amendment removing this one be a form of fillibustering, in a way? It shouldn't be allowed. We've already passed this amendment and this new one just wastes time.
