I found the idea of emo rap to be very strange and sorta funny to think about.HBU

Here goes mine (won't use the tier generate meme template thing although it's a good one):

S-Tier:
Melodic Hardcore
Real Emo (Midwest Emo included)

Not much to say here. These genres are the absolute pinnacle and epoch of music.

A-Tier:
Pop-Punk
Real Screamo/Emoviolence
Post-Hardcore
Post-Rock
Easycore

Very very solid genres and still some of my favorites.

B-Tier:
Punk
Hardcore Punk
Orgcore
Indie Rock
Powerviolence
Alternative (90s style)

Generally good, not as perfection as the above genres but still more good than not.

C-Tier:
Grindcore
Metalcore
Grunge
Folk Rock
Sludge
Industrial
Noise Rock
Heartland Rock
Crust Punk
Post-Punk

All have flaws and things to criticize about them, but they all have solid records and artists in them as well.

D-Tier:
Country
Pop
Doom Metal
Post-Grunge
"Fake Emo"/"Mall Emo"
R&B
Techno
Tough Guy Hardcore
Electronicacore/"Nintendocore"
Djent
Hard Rock
Yacht Rock
New Wave

Usually bad.

F-Tier:
Nu-Metal
Death Metal
Power Metal
Heavy Metal
Deathcore
Thrash Metal
Hip Hop
Disco

Yech.

Z-Tier:
Crunkcore
Black Metal

Not even going to comment on these.

A friend of mine introduced to me to a genre he called "pirate metal" which he was an unironic fan of. You can find any absurd combination online if you look for it, but meeting a fan in real life, organically? Unparalleled

I've always thought that the extreme death metal bands were rather silly.  Either with the Cookie Monster vocals or the "I'm singing opera in a metal band" vocals being the most silly of all.

"Dance" groups have always seemed weird to me too.  I mean, how shallow do you need your art to be?  I'm willing to accept excuses for 13 year old girls (who always have the worst taste in music) to be into it, but anybody else should be mocked endlessly for it by their friends and family.

Any genre where "noise" is a big part of the act.

Any genre besides classic rock. Really funny to me that they exist.

it's real hard to take stuff like that seriously. Honestly, the music isn't horrible...it's the earnestness of the singer that is the hardest to swallow.  Also, how do these dudes convince chicks to hang out with them?I suppose they aren't unattractive to a certain type of woman.

if I was your age and I was introduced to it properly, I would probably be into it.  It's certainly very close to what I'm into.
