Todd Edwards, Senator for Iowa since 2014.

His campaign platform:

- A two-tier universal healthcare system without an individual mandate.

- Raising the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour, while allowing small businesses to opt out of it.

- Giving tax breaks for Americans starting new Businesses.

- Decriminalizing marjiuana, but discouraging its use and requiring treatment to pay for healthcare.

- Increasing protection for American manufacturing. Continuing the agressive stance against China.

- Free preschool and community college, and focusing the American education system on trade schools, younger teachers and extracurricular activities.

- Creating a wealth tax on fortunes greater than $500 million.

- Expanding the Earned Income and Child Tax credits.

- Working with Congress to write and pass a $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill.

- An orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan.

- Ending late-term abortions and maintaining the Hyde Amendment, while implementing comprehensive sex ed on public schools.

- Gun rights with background checks and keeping guns away from the mentally ill.

- Regulating Wall Street, and closing corporate tax loopholes.

- Fighting climate change through investment in nuclear, wind, solar and geothermal energy, and electric cars, to reach net zero by 2050.

- Banning private prisons and racial profiling.

- Repealing the Taft-Hartley Act.
