The one issue Biden polls decent on is covid. That has been a finding since he took his oath of office

With covid back in the news and surging, isn’t it good for the WH, politically? It’s the one issue people trust him on.

It has dramatically increased vaccination, especially booster, rates which is helpful for him long term.

No because people will blame Omicron on him and get upset with him for the fact that we still have to deal with this bulls--t.

Meanwhile the dominant mode of COVID though these days seems to be simultaneously thinking that Biden isn't doing enough to protect us from COVID, yet he's also doing too much with these ridiculous restrictions (many of which, such as lockdowns, are policies he's not even pursuing).

If this is the end of the pandemic, of course it does.

While on paper it may be the end of the pandemic, institutions are reacting like it's March 2020.

If omicron proves to not really be that contagious/deadly then yeah, people will probably attribute it to Biden's response then anything about the variant itself.

I don't know about that, but I do know that people are getting so weary of this pandemic and its offshoots that I believe it is going to die an unceremonious death real soon. It's like mass shootings, we are numb and don't want to hear about it anymore.

This is the kind of "heard immunity" that is going to kill this virus and all its variations.

Omicron is actually a good thing because it's less deadly than prior strains, meaning it might actually boost immunity amongst the unvaxxed morons and put less of a strain on hospitals.

Odd prediction, at least in the short term, as hospitals fill up with "unvaxxed morons," and vulnerable olds, and governments go into the panic mode, and where evidence of the variant being less lethal is not yet conclusive.

But the panic should dissipate within a few months at most.
