I whole slew of polls have come out recently that show the Senate race to narrowing to single digets... why haven't they been posted?

The Democracy Corps poll is crap, BTW.

Uh...which polls? I haven't seen a thing. If this race is really in the single digits then...wow.

By the way, we know Democracy Corps is trash.

He wouldn't just leave out the name for no reason. It is assumed that a Pennsylvanian is talking about PA.  Wink

I also think he is talking about us because he mentioned Democracy Corps and they were the most recent poll released.

Oh, yeah sorry... PA.

And I can't remember exactly which pollsters, but they are top level ones.  I have seen the polls, I just can't remember who they are from.

Soulty, I hope you were not talking about Strategic Vision when you said "top level ones". I am firmly convinced that SR's method is to poll the race, and if the Dem is in the lead to take their lead and cut it in half. Take these two new polls - Casey and stabenow up by only 7 and 6, respectively? Hah! These polls are worth less than Zogby Interactive polls.

If that's true, Deano, SR (assuming that's Strategic Vision) has majorly changed course since 2004.

And what, if I may ask, is this firm conviction based on?

I disagree with him that they are worth less than Zogby polls (nothing could be worth less really) but these are getting quite bad. They just released a poll that had Stabenow only 6% ahead in MI. Give me a break.

Strategic Vision is one of those firms that is "kinda" deserving of the Partisan label.

They a Georgia based and have been trying to break out from the GOP designation and be accepted as a mainstream firm that is not partisan.

They are roughly the flip side of Research2000.

Del Ali over at Research2000 has long standing ties to the Democrats, and in 2004 most of his polls had a modest (but not crazy) tilt to the Democrats, while in a similar way, Strategic Vision's 2004 had a modest, but not crazy GOP tilt.

I just lump them in with the lot and average them out...

Gustaf, and everybody else who may not have picked up on it, I was being a bit sarcastic (there I go again - I was being very sarcastic) when I said that I firmly believe that their method is to take the dem's lead and cut it in half. I was using humor to illustrate how incredibly bad their results are. Although, according to the Mason-Dixon poll that today showed Casey up by 16 (compared to SV's 7-point Casey lead), maybe I was right (joking again).
