Clinton did. Her 2016 campaign leant heavily into her gender ("I'm with her") and the flipside was that Democratic primary voters thought a woman would be more likely to lose in 2020. There probably is a sexism penalty but their reaction went beyond the data and dogged the campaigns of every female candidate.

The same will probably apply to Harris, as her identity was at the forefront of her addition to the ticket in 2020.

No, but I do not believe she may even want to be President after this.  I don't think it was a good idea to have a woman as Vice President anyway unless that woman was going to be extremely experienced and well-qualified and an elder stateswoman that could bring some kind of wisdom to the ticket.  Kamala had just gotten to the U.S. Senate when two years later she ran for President, so she was not really a very wise choice in my opinion.  She didn't do so well in the primary either.  Joe was an awful candidate too, let's be honest.  The entire Democratic Primary was very, very weak, and so was 2016's Republican one, which is why Donald Trump beat them all.  The past few presidential primary seasons have had a lot of duds, a lot of has-beens, a lot of inadequate people running for a very tough and demanding 24/7 job.

There are three people that definitely should not be the POTUS in 2025: and that is the current occupant of the Oval Office, the Vice President, and the preceding president.
