Power Grid Security Act

Funding (Section A)
1. $200,000,000 shall be allotted to states, local jurisdictions, and counties with a power plant present in improving and securing the power grid of the region of Lincoln from severe weather and cyberattacks.

2. $200,000,000 shall be allotted to states, local jurisdictions and counties to reduce power costs while lowering emissions.

3. Power Grid security funding shall be allotted immediately

4. Funding from Section A (2.) shall be spread out over a period of 10 years.

Responsibilities (Section B)

1. The Governor of Lincoln and General Court of Lincoln shall be in charge of overseeing funding going to states.

2. States shall be in charge of overseeing funding goes to local jurisdictions and counties.

Investigatons
1. If a state, county, or local jurisdiction misuses the allotted funding, they will be subject to an investigation from an independent committee made up of 5 people appointed by the Governor of Lincoln and General Court of Lincoln.

This bill will protect our power grid from severe weather and cyberattacks. We’ve seen cyberattacks cripple power plants in other states, and so can severe weather. We need to protect our power grid, and keep it safe and secure.
