How long have you been a Republican for?

I only became eligible to vote in 2018 as I became a citizen then so that’s Around how long I have been a registered Republican for as well.

Do you agree with the following statement?

Quote
The Republican Party nowadays is mostly about sycophancy to Donald Trump.

What country are you originally from if you are serious about being a non-citizen until 2018?

Many of the politicians are but its not cause they are scared of Trump himself but rather scared of his base. Trump has taken control of the party due to the fact that he has basically become a spokesperson of the base which is why Republicans that go against him lose. The reason for that whatever Trump is saying is basically a more marketed way of what the base is saying on the internet or when they call into radio shows which is why the base loves him so much

On a similar vein as TDAS04, if you have to live in Upstate NY, where would you live (This definition of Upstate is everything north of Putnam County)?

Given I probably dislike Badger even more than I dislike the Squad at this point, I'd vote for Trump if I live in a swing state otherwise id spoil my ballot.

If Oden and Roy don't face injuries how do you see the Blazers developing, assuming they don't get Dame and CJ?

If Oden and Roy don't face injuries how do you see the Blazers developing, assuming they don't get Dame and CJ?

2007-08: Oden I still think while a good player isnt a star yet(Be more like his 2009-10 numbers pre injury) but that does help the Blazers win 46ish games instead of 41 which still puts them at 10th given how deep the conference was that year

2008-09: I see Oden developing into a 15/10 player and I see the Blazers winning 59 games this season instead of 54 and thus getting the 2nd seed. I dont think they are good enough to beat the Lakers yet and lose in 6 games

2009-10: Roy started getting hurt this season so without that I see him make the next leap into challenging Kobe/Wade for being the best SG in the league(though not yet at their level) and Oden starting to develop into a 20/10 player this year. I think Blazers go to the WCF again but fall to the Lakers again in 7 games as they arent ready yet for the title

then 2011-2015: I think this is when the team peaks with Roy becoming the best SG in the league as Kobe starts to decline and Wade starts to take a backseat to LeBron(though Wade>Roy in 2011) , Oden becoming the best C in the league and Aldridge a top 2 PF in the league. With this I think they make the finals in every year but 2014(when fatigue stops them from going to the finals) and they end up winning in 2011, 2013, 2015 and Heat in 2012 and 2014. I dont think the Mavs and Spurs are able to win in this TL as the Mavs lose to Portland in 2011 and I dont see Spurs being able to build the supporting cast needed as many great role players do sign with Portland here.

After 2016 though the team starts to decline and I dont think they reach the finals.

So overall I think the 2011-2015 period would be known as the Blazers-Heat Rivarly Period

What attracted you to Reaganism? have you ever found left-wing economic perspectives persuasive at any point?

I would say following the 2012 general election campaign, I had supported Mitt Romney and then started to do more research into his positions and that's when I started to become a Reaganite. I did start to drift left from 2014-2017 but taking Business classes in college and reading Milton Friedman's book called Free to Choose made me a Reaganite once again. Also I viewed Trump's economic policies as a success compared to Obama's economic policies which kind of hardened my views here.

Depends on what you mean by left-wing as I do find their arguments on healthcare more persuasive than the right's argument on it and support expanding Medicaid,  and some form of price control on prescription drugs. I also in the past was in support of raising the minimum wage and even now am in support of requiring corporations who make over a billion dollars in revenue to pay at least 15 dollars an hour. I as also increasingly in support of strengthing anti trust laws though you can make an argument for them in both a left or right wing perspective

Pre Great Society I would have considered my self to be more of a liberal than a conservative on economic issues as well
