This morning I saw a car whose bumper stickers indicated the owner is a Reagan/Dukakis/Perot/Dole/Gore/Kerry/??/??/Clinton/Trump voter.

Nothing indicated their preferences in 2008 and 2012.

A black moderate conservative who is staunchly opposed to the death penalty, explaining 1984 and 1988. Backed Perot as a protest vote against Bush for breaking the no taxes promise. But during Clinton's second term he embraced liberalism for whatever reason (perhaps he was enraged by the GOP wanting to impeach him?), and thus backed Gore, Kerry, Obama (2008 and 2012) and Clinton. However, he hates Joe Biden very strongly for opposing busing and supporting the crime bill and in a protest vote supported Trump.

What kind of car has that many bumper stickers?

A working class Latino from California with military experience that leans Dem but is not registered toward a party.  He voted for his home state candidate in 84.  He comes to regret this vote, as he was young and didn’t have a full knowledge and understanding of Reagan’s policies that hurt the working class, so he voted Dukakis in 88.  Perot’s outsourcing message and pro-veteran stances resonate with him in 92.  He also admires Dole’s military background in 96.  He votes party-line in 00 and 04, then votes for Obama twice despite admiring McCain’s military background.  Votes party-line again in 16, then like many of his demographic, flips to Trump in 20.

The raw vote numbers suggest that Trump's gains with CA Latinos probably weren't from flipping HRC 2016 voters, but I can totally see such a voter (who would be in their mid 50s at the youngest) driving up to Oregon during the long weekend.

Or someone who likes to baffle those who are driving behind them and can see their bumper.

Greek-American veteran and business owner. Voted for Reagan in 84 because he hated communists and was still in the service, Dukakis in 88 out of ethnic pride, Perot in 92 whose business instincts he liked, Dole, Gore, Kerry and McCain who he respected as fellow veterans, (he initially opposed the Iraq War but thought Kerry would make a better commander in chief and that since we were there should finish the job.) In 2012 he voted for Romney because he disliked the employer mandate, in 2016 for Hillary because Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric turned him off but Trump in 2020 because he disliked lockdowns and was concerned for the safety of his business during the protest.
