How many House members will not seek re-election this cycle? As of right now, we have 26 house retirements, 16 Democrats and 10 Republicans.

As a bonus, what will the the partisan breakdown of the House retirements?

Ultimately around 40-45 with Pelosi being one of them. In addition to her, maybe some of those old Democrats from safe seats who are completely invisible.

In general, I think there'll be a lot more Democratic retirements than Republican ones, and we might see quite a few more from California.
