In 2001, New Jersey Republicans controlled the Governorship, The State Senate and State Assembly....the November 2001 elections changed that with a Democratic Assembly romp, a 20-20 Senate split that changed in 2003 to a Democratic-run Senate and Governor Jim McGreevey who later resigned in 2004........

What could they have done to keep the gains they had in 1992 and solidified in 1994 with Christie Whitman's first term?
