The pandemic has made me love the feeling of getting shot needles into me.

I just received my moderna booster and flu shot.. and yes they felt so good!

Last time I was at CVS I also got vaccinated against typhoid, just b/c I could. If I collect enough I believe I will never die.

Indeed.  Shots of bourbon were a ritual during the pandemic.

Well, I'm still a needlephobe, so no. But I do feel like I'm fulfilling some sense of patriotic duty when I get a shot that I didn't used to.

No, but OP makes about as much sense as people claiming that getting a shot or wearing a piece of cloth is akin to oppression.

No, but it's certainly increased rates of mental illness and an unhealthy obsession about germs.

I don't love needles, but I'm not afraid of them anymore. If I could get a spinal tap when I was six weeks old, I can get whatever I need at my current age.

My 3 greatest fears:

1) Needles/shots
2) Climbing up ladders
3) Sanding over balconies

Yes--- as of 11/1/21 all employees working onsite in my factory are required to be 100% fully vaccinated (No test out options anymore, very limited exemptions, indoor face masks still required).

Work in a joint with a total of about 3,000 total workers (direct & indirect) and it feels really cool to know I can go to work without any real worries about catching the bug in the factory.

Sure we'll take our chances visiting unmasked with family on Thanksgiving and X-Mas, knowing that although we are fully vaccinated (As are all of our kids) that we could still catch something from the Grandkids going to Public School who won't be vaccinated until X-Mas.

I was eyeballing applying for a job upstate with Intel, where they have $3k hiring bonuses, and would likely also be able to get a significant pay boost based upon my KSE, but Intel isn't going to require vaccinates until 1/4/22 and even then with a "test out option" (Hint people cheat when they self-administer).

Might reconsider an Intel job sometime in March, but why would I want to work for a company which allows a bunch of COVID spreaders to be roaming around their massive factory with 11k+ workers?

Yeah--- love the needle (Plus the COVID needle is much smaller than a regular blood draw).

Absolutely! I love firing shots into battledroids in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
and the pandemic only grew my love for it!

I have a bad reaction to needles. I got the shot because it was smart, but I hated doing it.

Tbh, the Covid shots weren’t bad. And this is coming from someone who got sent to the ER because I fainted after a couple of shots at the end of 2019. I don’t like needles. Almost passed out the day before my second shot when I had to get a blood test done, but was fine with the Covid shot the next day.
