I'll be travelling to the US in December and due to the location of my relatives those are the locations I will be staying. I'll also be spending some time in NYC and DC but i'm already pretty clear about what I should be doing then.

What kind of fun things are there to do for an atlas user that would be convenient for someone based over there?

Check out the Stanford campus maybe, I'm sure there's some decent stuff round those parts

For Palo Alto: Go to Santa Cruz over the hills, or better , the East Bay.

As for Greenwich, I guess that street has some of North Beach on it, could get a good pizza there. Not the most remarkable street in San Francisco by a long shot.

Run away. Go visit a real city like Chicago or Boston.

I'll be staying in Greenwich Connecticut, I'm doing both the west and east coast.

Greenwich and Palo Alto are both a short train ride from world-class cities with plenty to see and do. Presumably you'll see the Stanford campus, which is fine but doesn't have anything of particular interest. Beyond that there's nothing to see in Palo Alto, which is why you would go to the city instead. I've never been to Connecticut but I imagine Greenwich is much the same but without the university.
