I'm going to argue with anything anyone says in this thread to divert from the actual issues they're trying to talk about and turn it into hairsplitting about the definition of conservatism. Seems like an effective rhetorical strategy.

Conservatism is a political ideology which holds that certain hierarchies within members of social groups are inevitable, natural, transcendental, and even good. Conservatives typically rely on appeals to some sort of tradition, are deferential to perceived authority figures, and are skeptical of changes to the existing social order. Conservative politics typically find support among the landed and propertied classes within a society, as well as business owners and merchants.

There are different strains of conservatism, with some conservatives taking on a more individualistic or libertarian tack, emphasizing individual and local initiative. Other conservatives take a more communitarian approach, emphasizing the role of social institutions like churches and monarchies.

Who would've thought that Ferguson97 would never seriously engage in an attempt of good-faith definition the way he expects others to.

I know, right? Maybe he shouldn't throw that word around if he can't even define it. SMH, progressives seem to think """conservatism""" is being taught in our schools even though they don't know what it is.

What if the current authority figures/current social order believe that hierarchies are bad/unnatural? What is the conservative position then?

This is how I genuinely define conservatism - the belief that nobody else matters except them.

interesting.  By "them", do you mean the individual conservative in question, or all conservatives or like, the individual conservative and his family and friends or maybe, "white people" or "men" or.....?

Which "conservatism"? Actual political conservatism, roughly starting with political alignments in 19th Century France? Or what the American political right calls "conservatism", which is a kakistocratic mix of borderline facism, theocracy, white supremacy, heavy helpings of plutocracy and oligarchy, and recently a strong strain of outright cultism?

The first one is pretty easy. The second is likely undefinable, as it is the product of minds that are both disconnected from reality and participating in bad faith.
