RIP (make of the Pepe the Frog patch what you will):

"Partridge’s death follows that of [Americans] Luke Lucyszyn and Bryan Young in July, Stephen D. Zabielski in May and Willy Cancel in April."

Follow-up on previous post: Spain sending Ukraine I-Hawk air defense battery:

https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/other/nato-announces-spain-to-send-hawk-missile-launchers-to-ukraine/ar-AA12Vkc4

Quote
"I welcome Spain's announcement to send four Hawk missile launchers to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses. I thank the allies for their important contributions," the former Norwegian prime minister stressed.

Stoltenberg thanked the Spanish contribution to Ukraine, which Defense Minister Margarita Robles avoided informing the press about in her statements in the margins of the meeting.

As is usual with some of these less formal announcements, unclear wording leaves some ambiguity in exactly what is being sent. This is a system with a lot of components besides the actual launchers. Spain also recently upgraded their system so the radar and other components were digitalized, leaving open the possibility they can be networked with other future Ukrainian air defense systems. This is a plan NATO is working on right now.

Operational range is around 40km - 50km, so this is ideal for drones and some of the cruise missiles Russia is currently lobbing at Ukraine.

Also, NATO countries also agreed to send Ukraine 100+ drone jamming stations as well.

I fail to see why Ukraine should cede Crimea? They are expulsing the russians on their own already

I would not say they are doing it "on their own."
There are billions and billions of dollars of support, and direct military hardware (sometimes modern), that is being sent to Ukraine (from the US and many other nations).
There would be a different scenario, on the ground, without all this assistance.

Given the extreme-right turn that the Libertarian Party has taken lately, are we absolutely certain this was not supposed to be a pro-Zelensky comparison? /s

I suppose the Libertarian Party could also liken Dwight D. Eisenhower to Adolf Hilter in that manner.

Do we have any extreme Libertarian Party users/supporters, here in Atlas, that care to defend this extreme BS?
What kind of crap is this?

The LPNH has, to be fair to Libertarians in other states, undergone an especially intense (and entryism-adjacent) far-right lurch lately on the state level. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that the Justin Amashes and Jo Jorgensens of the world have to be held to account for this.

I get the impression that the current LPNH stance on Aleppo is that it was a giant chemical weapons factory owned by Israel and managed by IS. The true libertarian stance is to not know what a Leppo is.

Again... I reinforce the point that the collective allies of Ukraine need to step up the game with providing high quality minimum 3-4 week professional training to Ukrainian soldiers, of which there are no shortage of volunteers willing to fight for an existential war of survival.

Here is how Russia is treating their new "Mobniks" in Ukraine.

The Kremlin apparently cares barely more about the lives of their own soldiers than they do for Ukrainian Civilians.

Meanwhile Russian "Kangaroo Court" Investigations continue regarding the Kerch Bridge Incident:

Quote
The Kyiv court of Simferopol, at the request of the investigation, sent five defendants under arrest in the case of undermining the Crimean bridge. This was reported by Interfax, citing a source. The lawyers of the two defendants in the case confirmed the choice of a measure of restraint.

Artyom Azatyan, Georgy Azatyan, Roman Solomko, Vladimir Zloba and Artur Terchanyane were sent to the pre-trial detention center, the source of the agency specified .

The FSB reported on the arrest of eight suspects on October 12. They allegedly acted under the leadership of an employee of the main intelligence department of Ukraine, who introduced himself as Ivan Ivanovich.

More Russian Military Recruitment Offices go up in flames as the Russian Anti-War movement shifts from "Protest to Resistance".

The "Limited Mobilization" of Russian troops into Ukraine is causing what was always a nascent and underground Anti-War Movement to get a bit more militant:

Quote
The Soviet District Court of Ryazan arrested a local resident on suspicion of attempted intentional damage to property (part 3 of article 30; part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code) due to an attempt to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office and the court building. This was reported by the press service of the court.

Article
The sound of burning is the sound of the end. Who sets fire to the military registration and enlistment offices in Russia and how the security forces are trying to fight it - a study by Mediazona
According to investigators, on the night of October 9, the Ryazan, being drunk, decided to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office for the Moscow and Zheleznodorozhny districts of the city, as well as the building of the Moscow District Court. Then he entered the territory of the court with two Molotov cocktails, set fire to them and threw them out the window on the ground floor, the investigation believes.

According to the telegram channel "Moustache Kurakina", the man's name is Nikolai Baranov. “He did not deny his guilt and explained his actions with ideological considerations,” the authors of the channel specified without citing a source.

Meanwhile in Bakal on 10/11/22:

Quote
They tried to set fire to the administration building of the city of Bakal in the Chelyabinsk region, RBC was told in the press service of the governor of the region.

According to the interlocutor of RBC, Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building last night. Telegram channel SHOT clarifies that two people set the fire. They broke the glass on the first floor with a stone and threw two Molotov cocktails inside.

This was expected after the Ukrainian govm't rightfully told him to fuck right off after he arrogantly tried to play peacemaker. That is enough for Musk to pull his support, because his ego got hurt.
