Imagine if this escalates to Russia supplying Hamas.

Russia has almost certainly already agreed to supply Iran (in exchange for Iran supplying them), which in turn would arm Hamas and Hezbollah with whatever it can.

Ukraine Weapons Tracker and a bunch of more reliable sources than this point out it has the wrong number of propellers to be that type of drone and is most likely a US-supplied Switchblade 600.

The Ukrainians may have crashed two Leopard 2s into each other during training, knocking the turret off of one of them, but at least the enemy has vehicle mishaps too:

Lots of rumours that the long touted big Ukrainian offensive has either started or will very soon.
Just looking at the weather reports it probably won't start for at least another 3 weeks.

It will be too muddy for any tanks, unless they use pick-up trucks.

Russia moment:

It's very fortunate, but I don't think that would have been WW3 even if the missile launched properly and successfully downed the aircraft. There were similar incidents during the Cold War, some of which included deliberate shootdowns and multiple casualties.

The Soviets literally downed a South Korean civilian airliner with 269 people on board.

Including an American congressman!

Ironically, president of the John Birch Society. And a democrat, back when such combination was actually doable.

Discord leaks reveal US warned Ukraine against defending Bakhmut.

Lots more in the article, especially from Ukrainian Commander Palisa regarding tactics and things that don't appear in the Russian propaganda themes accentuated by various Russian oriented bloggers, and perhaps even some simps posting on this various thread.

Quote
Months after dire warnings from Washington that Ukraine would not be able to hold Bakhmut against an onslaught of Russian mercenaries, Ukrainian forces still cling to the city’s western edge in what has stretched into the longest and most deadly fight of the war.

Quote
An assessment marked “top secret” cautioned that “steady” Russian advances since November “had jeopardized Ukraine’s ability to hold the city,” and Ukrainian forces would probably be “at risk of encirclement, unless they withdraw within the next month.”

Quote
The Ukrainian commander overseeing the fight for Bakhmut, Col. Pavlo Palisa, said he was never formally briefed on this U.S. intelligence or the recommendations on how to leverage the fight in Bakhmut for additional advantage.

Quote
Another document in the trove, a cache of sensitive materials leaked online through the messaging platform Discord, detailed ways Ukraine could use advanced munitions, information campaigns and counter-drone technology to “impose future costs” on Russian forces.

Palisa credited his ability to hold parts of the city for months longer than predicted to a combination of classic urban warfare and advanced drone reconnaissance, including layers of signal jamming.

After Russian forces breached Bakhmut’s perimeter, Palisa said he pulled his forces back into residential blocks, using rooftops as high ground and converting homes into antitank positions. Deeper inside the city, both sides began to rely heavily on reconnaissance drones for targeting and jammers to confuse the opponent’s navigation systems.

You can be outraged at Carlson, but he has every right to push the envelope against the US military while the very same military continues to fund the overseas broadcasting of his show. There's plenty of MSM shows they don't do this for, but their fear of backlash is such that they won't pull his. If they're not going to take his criticisms seriously, why should he?

Trying to put Carlson and the rest of the media on anything remotely equating an objective comparison is a Fool's errand. The media attempt at least to get things right, good bad or different, and usually do so. Carlson not only doesn't try, he actively engages in disinformation to the point of propaganda. Each of these things are not like the other.

Nobody knows what the real casualties are in Ukraine. High, on both sides, is a good guess. Anything else, especially when expressed in terms of ratios, is pure speculation. An accurate casualty ratio is something that we’ll probably have to wait until the third generation of historians are publishing their books on this conflict in the 2080s.

No? I mean you say that assertively, but meanwhile in reality the combined military intelligence of several Nations do in fact have a pretty good idea of what the casually rate is, and the numbers ain't good for russia.

You may now go weep bitterly in a corner at this dose of reality, while the rest of us cry out Solva Ukraine

As for your comment about Mao and nuclear war, well, all the CCP elite have their children in enemy western countries. It's as relevant as Vladimir Solovyov's outbursts about nuking London, where his son works as a model.
The outbursts of Solovyov and dozens of other Putin mouths, including Medvedev for example, repeat in other words the same message of Mao. And this should be alarming.

The agenda of the Ruscists as a whole coincides with the agenda of the Chinese National Communists: Maoist Stalinism, Maoist hatred of Khrushchev; hatred for the British and Americans, which grew after the Opium Wars and cemented after the Korean War, in which the Chinese died for Stalin's wishes, as now the Russians die for Winnie's wishes; the capture of fraternal Tibet, when the Chinese destroyed half of the entire population and almost completely destroyed the fraternal Tibetan culture, the Russians are quite consistently trying to repeat it in Ukraine; Putin's gangs modeled on the Red Guards and Zaofan; again, crazy rhetoric about nuclear war and so on.

Before the Age of Shame, the Chinese did not have a normal industry, they relied on artisans. The Chinese have taken this into account, now the whole world relies on their industry. It must be borne in mind that, unlike the same Russians, the Chinese are able to learn from their mistakes, and now the Russians who ruled China have themselves become ruled by China.

Sorry about that I didn’t see the post until this morning lol. But a noticeable running theme throughout this war even after over a year is US intel giving Russian military capabilities too much credit which should also put some of the stuff in leaks that certain trolls here and in broader social media have run with (ie the view the counterattack will be only a modest success) into some perspective

Red Velvet, Bakhmut Bob, Jaichind, Tim Turner: BOTH SIDES BAD

Russia:

This reality makes the smelling their own farts level simpering by red velvet, cassius, and are two main trolls in Chief just all that more detestable. How disengaged from reality does one need to be to not recognize there's a fundamentally basic right and wrong side here?

Tbh red velvet and hollywood are the only real ones who act like this isn’t a black and white conflict. Woodbury is more about pushing a “Russia is winning the war and it’s all Brandon’s fault if Daddy Trump were here everything would be right” and jaichind is more interested in promoting the idea of making money off the sanctions then the morality of the war

What more is there for anyone to say? The battle of Bakhmut has been going on for eight months. Every point about the viability of holding Bakhmut, the risks therein, and any potential benefits to Ukraine in holding its positions has been argued, countered, counter-countered and so on dozens of times. This may be the first document about potential disagreements between US advisors and the Ukrainian General Staff on remaining in Bakhmut but I promise you there were other leaks on the matter months ago that were argued to death here.

My surmise is if the US military thought Ukraine continuing to fight in Bakhmut was a terrible decision as opposed to a good decision or a coin flip, Ukraine would not have done what it did. And nobody knows the relative body counts, munitions expended, and so forth, to have an informed judgement anyway.
