I've well known Radford as a good barometer of statewide politics and always thought whoever won the city would win the statewide race. A few hours later. 86% of Radford is in...and Youngkin has a nine point lead, far better than he did in the rest of the state. I think 100% of the city is in now and that nine point lead has held steady. This will probably be Youngkin's greatest overperformance from Trump 2020. Why did Youngkin do so well here? Was this a one time thing or could it be a sign that Radford might soon lose it's bellwether status in the state?

My best guess is that Radford, being a college town had the Loudoun school teacher thing rub off particularly negatively on them and caused many of them to flock to Youngkin, resulting in the solid margin he has in the city.
