Yeah, I hate that my mind went to the same thing, but it did. You have to wonder if maybe both sides are posing as boogeymen for their respective teams. The Lincoln Project and VA Young Dems pretended to be neo-Nazis, and now maybe the Republicans are pretending to be ISIS?

I'm far more concerned with violent MAGA extremists (who have actually attacked Virginia) than ISIS terrorists.  It's become clear that Trump supporters can't contain their violent ways every time they lose an election (which is quite often).

As an openly LGBT person who doesn't hide my presence on social media I've actually had my life threatened multiple times by Trump supporters, occasionally with gory details and expletives about what would happen to my kind once they took over. They often referenced other minorities, women, etc for this same kind of abuse and retribution. Typically completely unprovoked, just in conversation with one another.

Granted, this usually happened while venturing into corners of the internet I shouldn't have, and I'm not saying it's all Trump supporters... Or even most. But don't fool yourself, only one side has that level of pent-up hate and sadism.

I seriously hope this doesn't become the new normal. And until further proof, obviously I don't think anyone should be throwing around conspiracy theories about a threat like this...

There's no particular reason for it to be fake, even if it is just an attempt to influence the election. ISIS gains from Republicans in power. (As do many other hostile foreign actors.)

Time to realize that local police officers are by and large a wing of the GOP and are all in on the GOP.  This needs to end.  They shouldn't be allowed to pull stunts like this days before an election.  This reminds me a lot of Comey. 

They shouldn't even be allowed to wear their uniforms in ads promoting political candidates (usually Republicans).
