Here's what I liked about him;

1. Signed the 17th/19th amendments
2. Modernized our tax system.
3. Strengthened the Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890.
4. Outlawed child labor
5. Was a friend of organized labor.
6.Was an anti-imperalist.

The list of things I dislike about him is longer.

The word Working Class Democrats have been changed to Blue Collar after 1964 as Southern Dixiecrats became more Secular, as Robert Byrd said the Dixiecrats we're always for the income Tax but was Traditional on Civil Rights that's why without Public Defender's until 1963 Blk men and poor Jews and Latinos were jailed for made up crimes like whistling at females in South until 2000/ we had Majority Dem Govs in the South Bredeson, Siegalmsn, Roy Barnes and Bill Clinton who reformed Welfare

Dixiecrats Zell Miller, John Breaux, Mark Pryor
Blue Collar Tim Ryan, Mark Warner and MANCHIN

It's rather ironic that the only thing which has dragged him down significantly in historical rankings is his extremely poor track record on "pursing equal justice for all."

Suffers in image terms due to lacking the charm of, say, the two Roosevelts; the policy agendas and governing methods of all three were quite similar.

Working Class doesn't equal Secularist, Bob Byrd said this already, but D's do mean support the Income tax but Strictly interpret the Law and Wilson passed Income tax and Appointed Brandeis that affirmed New deal with tax increases but put McReynolds on Crt too that denied Civil Rights to Minorities, had Vinson not died before Warren was Judge, Segregation in Public schools would of been affirmed by Dixiecrat judges

Earl Warren persuaded the Dixiecrats to su0port Desegregation

The D's party is the party of JFK not Jefferson, but both parties claim Jefferson he was against Marbury v Madison which said Federal Rights Trump states rights because Fugitive Slave Law was trumped by Emacipation Proclamation an Executive Order

He was a Northerner with Southern racial sympathies, like James Buchanan or Trump.

Racist, but otherwise based.

The circlejerk against him here and elsewhere on the “progressive” internet these days I find very funny considering how much of their ideology they owe to him. FDR himself wouldn’t have existed, or at least not been close to the same or as effective, without him.

No, Wilson was a born and bred Virginian. His official home state was New Jersey solely because he was a Political Science PhD (another reason I think he was based, one of the smartest presidents ever) who ended up as President of Princeton. But he was a Southerner at heart from birth to death.

His attitudes towards labour suggest otherwise.

Whatever else may be said about Wilson, he was not a very good academic or university president. Especially when it comes to his historical writing, his scholarship is sloppy and all-around pretty bad.

Anyways, I think ChristianMan has the level on this. Wilson did some good stuff in his first term, his second was a miserable failure and a disaster on pretty much every level.
