LOL. Anyone who wants to overturn a legitimate democratic election — as most of the GOP voted to do in 2021 — is absolutely a traitor. Anyone who voted to acquit Trump of extorting the Ukraine is also a traitor. Certainly, many Democrats, myself included, have suggested that the majority party should no longer respect minority rule. But that's a separate issue. Because we're defending majoritarian, pluralistic democracy, and you're defending white Christian fascism.

No. We have a constitutional standard for treason in this country, and of the whole grotesque spectrum of pro-Trump reality-denial, only actually having participated in the Capitol attack comes close to meeting it.

Ignorance isn't treason. Being stupid isn't treason. Attacking the capital, even supporting it, is treason.
