Well, I know George Clooney is from KY-04 (Thomas Massie's district).

Some are pretty obvious like MS-1 (Elvis Presley), NC-7 (Michael Jordan), or MN-8 (Bob Dylan). But it would get messy if you don't select by where they were born and/or grew up since many celebrities own multiple residences. Not to mention the difficulty in judging LA districts where many celebrities live/are from.

Indiana 4, maybe Axl Rose. Or John Wooden? Shannon Hoon? Not that many famous people from here.

Well if we're going by birthplace, Clooney was actually born in Lexington (KY-06), basically down the street from where I was born. But for the most part he grew up (and attended college) in Northern Kentucky (i.e. KY-04).

Also while the districts you listed for Elvis and Jordan are correct in terms of where they were born and initially grew up, they are arguably more famously associated with Memphis (TN-09) and Highland Park/Chicago (IL-10), respectively.

Loretta Lynn is from what is now KY-05 (Hal Rogers district).

Muhammad Ali was from what is now KY-03 (Louisville, John Yarmuth's district).

Johnny Depp is from what is now KY-02 (Owensboro, Brett Guthrie's district). Abraham Lincoln was also born in that district. (Somewhat ironic as it became the base of the Confederacy in Kentucky, and just 2 hours away from the birthplace of Jefferson Davis in KY-01, the other Western Kentucky district that was dominated by Confederates.)

Those are the other most famous Kentuckians I can think of.

Again though we're talking about someone more famously associated with an entirely different state in Swift's case at least. She lives in Nashville (TN-05), represented by Jim Cooper (at least until he's gerrymandered out).

WA-6 is probably Kurt Cobain, although Bing Crosby was also born in the district before moving out at the age of 3.

WA-1 my guess would be Bill Gates, although he was born and went to school in Seattle. Not sure who it would be if we're going by birth place. Bob Barker?

WA-9 probably Jimi Hendrix.

WA-2 hopefully Scoop Jackson, hopefully not Glenn Beck.

WA-4 Hope Solo? Kennewick Man??

WA-3 Tonya Harding (born in Portland, though). Potentially DB Cooper if he was a local.

So what are the qualifications for being from a place? Is Tina Turner from IL-12, MO-1, or some Tennessee district?

Assuming we aren’t counting politicians (in which case, hi Dick Durban and Paul Simon), that would be most famous person from my district. If we aren’t counting her, it’s something of push between Miles Davis, Buddy Ebsen, Jimmy Connors, or Jackie Joyner-Kersee depending on your cultural milieux.

A few more that I found. I'm trying to think of people not from NYC or SoCal, and I'm not counting politicians.

AL-06: Courteney Cox
IA-01: Ashton Kutcher
MO-02: Jenna Fischer
PA-05: Tina Fey
PA-14: Mr. Rogers
TX-23: George Strait
VA-01: Chris Brown

Is Affton in MO-02? Because I think John Goodman edges out Jenna Fischer if it does.

The American Horror Story fanatic in me feels obliged to nominate Jessica Lange for MN-08 (Cloquet and Duluth) and Evan Peters for MO-02 (Ballwin).

NH-1 is Adam Sandler or Sarah Silverman.
NH-2 is tougher. Either goes to JD Salinger, Mandy Moore, or Triple H

Speaking of celebrities that are very similar Alexandra Daddario and Lady Gaga are both born in the same part of Manhattan born 12 days apart and of Italian-American descent. And it lies in NY-12!

NJ-10 includes Michael B Jordan and SZA even though both respectively are born in CA-46 And MO-01 respectively but we associate those 2 more with New Jersey.

If we're counting deceased celebrities, then Marlon Brando would probably be the most famous from NE-02.
