These Never Trump Republicans have forgotten what allowed them to radicalize their party in the first place, and that's to start small and work your way up. If they want to invest in a non-Trump future, then they ought to pour money into state legislature elections, city/town council races, and less ideologically-focused gubernatorial races. Throwing money at the most high-profile congressional races or the 2024 presidential primary won't give them any influence in Trump's Party. They also don't understand that they'll have to dramatically rework their messaging in order for it to work in today's political climate, but that's another discussion.

Ok but why fundraise for her in Dallas when she's running in WYOMING??

Unless they're trying to get that sweet DFW suburban #resist lib money. I mean look at the home prices in Collin County.

And yes I know Bush 43 lives in Dallas, but why fundraise for her in Dallas instead of just hopping on a plane to Wyoming to campaign for Liz over there?
Bush is more popular among Dems than Reps nowadays. Suburban Dallas really is the best place for him to be.

I don't think that's true. I recall recent polling of best and worst presidents and W was in the top 10 for Republicans and near the bottom for Democrats. It was discussed on Atlas but I don't remember where.
