Why did Cenk Uyghur from TYT support Caruso? Has he appeared on the other side of the horseshoe.

Cenk thought Karen's messaging was too pro-establishment and status quo

What a weird take from Cenk, I thought he’d be all for Bass. Though looking at it Bass did get the support of basically all of the Establishment Dems in the race, but her opponent was basically a Republican.

Because for the dirtbag side of the progressive movement, the side comprised of people  who are just vindictive against whatever  mainstream movement(s) exist in the political scene - a side derided by radical movements for 250 years - care more about appearances and "vibes" rather than results. For example, it doesn't matter that the Paris Commune failed to win any wider support, is surrounded by armed forces, and is about to fall, we got to burn down the Hôtel de Ville, the Tuileries, and other symbols of the government.

This is the most discussion I've seen about Cenk Uyghur since his 2020 congressional run. I'm surprised he's still relevant enough on here

Utterly empty populist rhetoric devoid of any kind of substantive leftists analysis. TYT were always pretty worthless as leftist advocates, but between this and Kasparian's recent descent into the Trans Discourse, they've really hit rock bottom lately.

4k votes left in CD 6 meaning turnout was about 12-13K about 40% of 2020's turnout

I know it isn't AAPI Heritage Month anymore but: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-america/asians-l-third-largest-population-smallest-voting-share-rcna87319

Quote
While Los Angeles’ Asian population is booming, a new study found some troubling patterns in how that growth translates — or doesn’t translate — to political representation.

With Asian voters widely dispersed because of how the city’s district lines have been drawn, the city’s third-largest racial group is facing structural obstacles at the polls, the report said.

The analysis, released by UCLA’s Asian American Studies Center in May, painted a picture of the city’s Asian electorate and how it’s being represented in local government bodies like the City Council.

The authors said they were surprised by what they found. Between 2010 and 2020, L.A.’s Asian population grew by 8.2% compared to a 2.8% growth in the rest of the city. Asians (11.8% of the population) now fall behind only Latinos (46.9%) and whites (28.9%) in population size, but their voting share remains low.

Idk the context behind the 2022 Hernandez vs Cedillo primary results, other than Hernandez being the preferred candidate of Non-Hispanic White voters, Cedillo being the preferred candidate of Black and Latino voters, and Hernandez winning Asian voters by smaller margins than Cedillo won Black and Latino voters.
