Agree with the poster above, I would say so-so although his Covid response is good even though he got pressure from the NDP to do so

Good PM but a bad person. He's not a disqualifyingly bad person like Trump though so I'd vote Liberal.

Massive HP for virtue signaling about climate change while supporting the use of the tar sands, which raise global temperatures by 0.4 Celsius by themselves.

FF.
A man with a mix of flaws and strengths, in that sense much like the rest of us.
A capable leader whose basic competency and ability to run the government has helped Canada get through COVID.
Clearly something of a dork and far from perfect as a person but human enough.
And that's refreshing.

HP. Under his watch Christian pastors were persecuted/imprisoned without due process and extensive lockdowns in certain provinces took place.

Handled COVID better than most, but overall very bland and worshipped by some Democrats in the U.S. for... superficial reasons.

HP. I've never been able to understand why Canadians keep on returning him to office every election. He's the Canadian version of Gavin Newsom.

Gavin Newsom was returned to office too. (granted, under different circumstances, but we all know he'll win the next gubernatorial election) People are stupid.

He doesn't care about doing anything good to actually benefit people. He's there to uphold the liberal order of things.

Newsom got single-payer healthcare into SF and pioneered LGBTQ Marriage when only Massachusetts had it legal.

Not sure Trudeau's changed anything at all.

I was going to say at least he gave the Mounties "LGBTQI2S+" sensitivity training, but I checked again and no, that was part of Singh's platform, not part of Trudeau's record.

Has almost singlehandedly convinced me of Old Left "postmodernism is right-wing" talking points by touting his "INTERSECTIONAL, FEMINIST RECOVERY" with the same mouth that he used to fire Jody Wilson-Raybould.

At least he passed a carbon tax, that is a bit more than virtue signalling.

You're right about Newsom's role in promoting the emergence of marriage equality, but in many other respects, Newsom and Trudeau are similar. Both come across as entitled, wine-track liberals who are not particularly competent, who are "youthful" in their appearance, and who have somehow been able to fool their respective electorates into reelecting them.

Lives rent free in the heads of way too many people. Otherwise pretty boring and generic left-wing politician with a penchant for humorously embarrassing himself by cosplay. FF
