Great quiz from the New York Times to test how good your grasp on political geography is.
They give 15-25 questions, but you're allowed to continue taking the test for as long as you want afterward. Feel free to post your score below, if you want (and answer the poll - but try and do the poll after you've answered a lot of them, because getting 2/2 and then choosing the 100% option is misleading).

(Note that in the poll, right after the 56-60% option is the 86-90% option, NOT the 61-65% option, which appears later. Don't confuse the two. The 61-65%, 71-75% and 86-90% options are not in the correct order.)

23/30, 77%.  Glad I got the one from my home state correct, or I would have been embarrassed as all hell.    Angry

I took the quiz for extremely long (hoping to increase my percentage) and finally got 154/250, or 61.6%.

I did it again with less questions and got a much better score of 51/70, or 73% (though I had a 17/20 at one point lol).

18 right, 4 wrong. One pro tip is that any hood where the homes are understated with tasteful landscaping in a suburban setting, you know is a Biden precinct (an image of Columbia MD was like that). The hardest are very ugly and trashy looking southern suburban or exurban areas, where they conceal whether they are white or black. So I struck out with a view from Monticello, Mississippi. I went for black. Alas it was white and went for Trump by 65 points.  And then there was the one from Ann Arbor where they showed my law school and the student union building across the street! Ha!

Not necessarily; I saw some nice-looking suburbs that went for Trump (though fairly narrowly, in most cases).

You were 16 for 18 (89%), better than almost all Times readers.

Suspiciously superb
You’re brilliant! Or getting brilliant help.
TOP 1%
>88% CORRECT

It was pretty easy considering that most of the locations were located in Ohio/Western/Middle Pennsylvania or looked like a place that voted Biden or Trump.

I mean this is less a political geography quiz than ‘a guess what state this neighborhood is in’ quiz.

Suburb with deserts and mountains in the background, is this a Trump precinct in Arizona or Utah or a Biden precinct in California?

I would do better just having Roby, who is currently lounging at me feet patently waiting for scraps, to have taken the quiz on my behalf. Part of the "problem" is that I would never, ever, live in almost any of the hoods depicted.

Not true at all. It has plenty of Biden precincts in red states and Trump precincts in blue states. To demonstrate this: I just played a game, and out of the 19 neighbourhoods, 8 were either in Biden precincts in Trump states or vice versa (Trump precincts in Biden states). It’s less “Is this in a Trump or Biden state?” than it is “Is it urban or rural?” If it looks rural, it probably went red, regardless of whether it’s in California or in Oklahoma. If it looks urban, chances are it went blue, whether it’s Urban Kansas or Urban Illinois.
