Among others: Cape Town/Durban - Johannesburg - Amsterdam/Paris - Geneva (multiple trips) as well as Antananarivo - Nairobi - Amsterdam - Geneva (7 hours in Nairobi that turned into 11 thanks to delays, miserable experience)
Happen quite a bit if you are trying to go from a non-hub to a non-hub in a different continent. Especially if you are doing it last minute or trying to minimize the costs.
