You can only use images hosted online, and Google images prompts unyieldingly large hyperlinks. Open the image in a new tab (right click and open in a new tab), and then cut and paste the hyperlink to the image in the tab.

Also! Size is important. Images will start off at the size they were originally, and while that was ok when the forum ran on a standard definition internet, it’s mostly HD now.

You need to add additional text inside the brackets, as below:

[img width=200]https://[u] *image hyperlink*[/img]

Unfortunately, the forum will output the examples I used as “Image Link”. Try quoting this response, and you’ll see the code you need

^^ I wrapped that in nobbc bbcode so it would show. Users have to use image links that start with https:// so it will appear. It's not even really so much of a forum rule as it is now a basic browser rule. Browsers like Chrome have slowly been discouraging websites from mixing secure and non-secure content (https vs http), and as of the past couple years will actively block non-secure content.
