He was never in, and this is old news. He endorsed Padilla over three weeks ago.

Now that all California House Democrats endorse Padilla, who does Padilla face: A Republican, Democrat Jerome Horton, or another non-Padilla Democrat?

Because Jerome Horton is the most prominent officeholder currently in the race, it would make sense that he would be the one most likely to come in second place in the primary and, hence, to appear on the November ballot.

I just updated the Wikipedia page about the 2022 Senate election in California to add a couple of names that I found in The Green Papers page. I certainly didn't add all of the names I saw in The Green Papers, because some of the names I found there are apparently not really running for the Senate. Nevertheless, the Wikipedia page now lists only 10 candidates who are running, including Padilla himself, three other Democrats (I added the name Douglas Howard Pierce), four Republicans, one Green, and one Independent (I added the name Daphne Bradford). Given how many people ran for the Senate in 2012, 2016, and 2018, there are likely going to be many more people who will appear on next year's primary ballot too, don't you think? So it's too soon to tell whether someone else might be in competition with Horton for the second spot in the primary.
