They've got much better infrastructure than the United States, and they've been vaccinating their own people at a breakneck pace while also helping poorer countries get their people vaccinated. The allegations of human rights abuses in China are simply the right wing trying to manufacture consent for war.
I can see a country like Canada have a better standard of living but China, not so much. Canada isn’t going around killing its indigenous people with concentration camps that are obviously genocidal and explicitly profiting off of them while denying there is a genocide. Canada also legalized Same Sex Marrisge in 2005 while China basically denies homosexuality is natural. Fascism is not cool at all and I can’t trust a country run by a guy scared of Winnie the Pooh. China obviously has lied about its record as it is almost certainly much worse.
