Just 1% of Democrats support Gard. Does that sound plausible?

Despite what this poll say, the district is still drawn in favor of republicans. Thompson was the governor and a split legislature. A 3 pt internal lead doesn't necessarily mean you are going to win. I think Gard still has a slight edge. Another internal disputes this one. It has it a 3 pt lead.

WI-8 is quite Republican.  It voted 55%-44% for Bush in 2004 and as Green is now running for Governor then it would be expected to support him surely?  Even if Kagen leads now I think it would be odd if Green won here but his successor Gard didn't.

If Doyle wins with less than 50% of the vote I think Gard will win but if Doyle get more I think Kagen is the favorite.

Doyle probably wins with 46-49% unless Green gets something going soon.
