Someone very wealthy who already grew up in such an environment. In 1964, he was a 1st time voter (born in the early 1940s) who supported civil rights, therefore not voting Goldwater. In 1972, said voter didn't support an immediate withdrawl from Vietnam and thought McGovern's economic agenda was too left-wing. In 1976, he voted for Carter because of the Nixon pardon. Subsequently became a GOP voter due to tax policy, but was disgusted by Trump and today resides in Orange County, CA.

A southern suburbanite (maybe somewhere in the Atlanta suburbs, GA06 or GA07) who used to be a swing voter, became red in the early 1980s but reverted to the Democrats in the Age of Trump. There are plenty of these voters in the area. And the 2016 GOP House vote can be explained by a popular/mainstream Republican incumbent and the fact that Republicans running for the House in 2016 weren't necessarily associated with Trump.
