What I've been saying for a while now. Roberts is now effectively a liberal. The people have already figured this one out, but apparently the Beltway types still have not!

“Effectively” in what sense? What about his Brnovich v. DNC vote? Or Fulton v. Philadelphia?

When interpreting this data, bear in mind that 30% of respondents say they've never heard of John Roberts, while 26% say they've heard of him but don't know enough him to form an opinion, and 1% refused. So only 43% even have an opinion of him.

That's what happens when a justice understands that being conservative & being a Republican aren't inherently the same.

Roberts isn't a liberal he is Center Right just like Kavanaugh and ACB they collectively affirmed Voter Suppression laws in AZ and if For the People's Act ever makes it way to Crt, ban on gerrymandering districts will be struck down

She all this yelling about for the People's Act it might even pass a Constitutional test and don't think Rs won't sue they're taking IL to Crt over Redistricting

But, Collins obstruction of For the People's Act is gonna doom her in 2026, ME overwhelming ly supports VR, 2020, since it was Trump as Prez she is on the record for voting for Cares Act, not obstruction of VR

The only Liberals on the Crt are Kentaji Brown whenever she becomes Judge, KAGEN and SOTOMAYOR

Breyer is a LAME DUCK, HE WILL RETIRE BEFORE THE NEXT PREZ ELECTION IN 2022/2024

So instead of waking up to the GOP takeover of the judiciary when country club libertarian freak show Kennedy and his inexplicable pr machine exited, they have moved on to John ‘Shelby County’ Roberts as the guy using the bench to wage war on America that limo liberals unjustifiably decide is actually a decent guy.

Apparently, a whole lot of Democrats have forgotten about the fact that Roberts was part of the majority in Citizens United v. FEC (or, maybe, those Democrats who express approval of Roberts don't disapprove of that decision).

I wish the Democrats would hate the Supreme Court as much as they hate McConnell.

Another key factor is likely that a lot of Republicans who view him unfavorably likely hold that view because he wouldn't "reinstate" Trump or overturn the election or whatever. But maybe they're also getting wise to the fact that overturning Roe v. Wade always has to be one election and one Supreme Court Seat away.

Actually this tells you more about the Republican Party than Democrats. Republicans have become so extreme and insane that standard conservatives on the center-right who support the rule of law and abide by basic norms appear great.

Citizens United has helped the Democrat Party take infinite donations from Big Business, Big Labor and the Upper Middle Class DINKs searching for any sort of meaning in their life. The core of the party not defined by ideological beliefs is loving it.

Just remember how Citizens United backfired on you as the Republicans became the lower middle class party.  Mark my words the same thing will happen with all the voter suppression bills you guys are gleefully passing now.

Implying that being "lower middle cass" is a negative consequence or something to be ashamed of. Being the party of the upper middle class is far more shameful.

All that's been proven by the backfiring is that money can't buy elections - the people still have the final say. But please throw your money away if you wish!
