Whatever is happening in rural southern counties. Native Americans leave traditional lands en masse due to something like the Harlem Renaissance, maybe a Centralia style disaster. Massive sinkhole forces everybody to leave. Some hotep militia kicks them off their land, a case of mass hysteria where they think they’re all boat dealers from Missouri
