I wouldn't really describe myself as experienced (I only took up chess as a serious interest earlier this year), but I've had a lot of time to practice thanks to lockdowns.  But I will say that if anyone is trying to improve their game, something that has helped me recently has been doing the blitz (timed 3 minutes) games.  Live chess is a beast.
