Starting on October 3rd 2006, on BBC 1 in the United Kingdom is a series called "The Amazing Mrs. Pritchard". It's a new six part comedy drama about a bored supermarket manager who sets up a Purple Alliance and manages to get the Deputy Health Minister on board and sweeps the general election.

What's of interest to members of this board, is that in the first episode (which covers the general election) Peter Snow (yes, the king of the swingers in the UK), produces two maps. The first map is of the United Kingdom at Election 2005 and then based on the exit poll of the election which sees several (but not all seats) fall to the Purple Alliance.

Now, as soon as this programme is broadcast I will make a DVD copy and would like to know if members would be interested in seeing both maps? I saw a preview on Newsnight last night and noted some very interesting results which I would like members comments on.

It looks like my seat (Shropshire North) kicked out Owen Paterson.

Nice caps.

They also showed a London map- but it looked like they'd used wards instead of constituencies.

The UK could be nuked by the Russkies and the Yanks and the charred remains of County Durham would still vote Labour.

True that. Even in 1931 Labour won most of the rural/mining seats in Durham (including the Spennymoor constituency Smiley ).
