I maintain a degree of skepticism for issue polling to a degree especially in the US. I did post a thread on USGD about racism but that was more tracking over time as the question is fairly vague. I do know Redfield is a decent polling firm though.

If you polled the British public on the question of Garden gnomes it would probably give a plurality in favour of banning them.
